Report: FA LB Anthony Barr Backing Out of Agreed Upon Deal with the Jets

Jets fans were giddy over the team landing not one but two big name free agent linebackers to start free agency, as the team reportedly agreed to terms to sign both Anthony Barr and C.J. Mosley.

Now though it appears that one of those two LB’s are having second thoughts, that being Barr who according to Ralph Vacchiano, NFL Insider for SNY is backing out of his reported deal with the Jets.

It was thought that the Jets were going to pay Jets Barr somewhere in the range of $13 million to $14 million per year, but the Vikings may have upped their offer and now it sounds like Barr is having second thoughts.

It remains to be seen if the Vikings have done enough to keep Barr, but the fact that he’s even having thoughts of backing out of his reported deal with the Jets is not a good sign for the Jets and their fans.
