Jets QB Sam Darnold Could Practice Wednesday

Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will practice on Wednesday according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.

Head coach Adam Gase says Darnold’s status is still day-to-day and added they will “see how it goes”.

At the very least, Darnold will take part in team drills but it is unclear whether he has finally been cleared for contact.

It is hare to believe last year’s No.3-overall pick is in any kind of football shape after battling mono but the practice does potentially put him on track to start this Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite the Eagles being favored by 13.5 points, this is a good spot for Darnold and the passing offense after Philly was lit on fire by Aaron Rodgers last week.
