The Jets did not miss the playoffs because of their defense lol you can't win scoring like 10-14 points a game. Jets need a running game, and a vastly improved receiving corps. Sanchez gets bashed, but it's not his fault he had an old LT and a sub-par Greene as his running options and Burress and Holmes as his best receiving options. Give the guy the tools and he can be successful.

Not sure Burress was a problem so much as hunter you have to give your QB a chance to throw, how management made us go through the season with smith and poole as our safties is another huge blunder and they better get anopther linebacker to go with david because we looked sooo slow at that spot also, you are right tannenbaum dropped the ball big time if he doesn't bounce back HE has to go!

I kinda sorta thought Sparano & Haley were a packaged deal?

By mutual decision, Tannenbaum doesn't want to hire a dude accusing Chief's GM of bugging phones and offices. While Haley justs want to avoid Jets locker room period.

Okay, Who's Plan B?

Wanted: Someone who can call balanced attack, and develop young quarterback. Maybe, hire Pennington as QB Coach and get solid play caller. What about the Raiders Hugh Jackson? Who else?

I know Rex is trying not to put any of his players down in the media, but do you really expect us to believe that the players on the team really have faith in Sanchez? Of course those players with class won't call him out in the media, but considering Sanchez for the most part lost the games against the Giants,Broncos, and Dolphins how would you be able to entrust in him. Don't get me wrong last season he made some awesome comebacks under pressure, but did a complete 180 this year. The only way I feel Sanchez can prove himself at this point is to win out the starting role against a QB who will give him competition. Once his teammates see this, they know that Sanchez does have the capability to lead the team.
