Standing at 6’4” and weighing in at 270 pounds, New York Jets linebacker Calvin Pace brings speed, quickness and a great deal of power to the field. With six years of experience under his belt, Calvin’s still learning a lot and showing constant improvements as each season passes.

Recently we had the chance to speak with Calvin Pace about his training and diet. Here is what he had to say:

Training for muscle gain

Let’s start off with your overall approach to your training. Generally speaking, what is the single most important goal you try to work on with your workouts?

First and foremost, I try to get better every time I step in the weight room, whether it’s doing some extra stretching, doing a little more cardio on an off day or going harder during a leg workout during the season to maintain my strength and reduce muscular soreness.

Being a taller player at 6’4”, do you find this makes it more difficult to really fill out in terms of muscle mass?
