WR Cotchery to miss Sunday’s game with a tear to groin

Despite making an amazing catch while hurt in the OT Sunday vs Cleveland, Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery will miss Sunday’s game vs the Texans with a slight tear to his left groin.

He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with the injury. Cotchery did some light jogging on the field on Thursday, but has not taken part in position work.

“That’s the final exam,” Cotchery told the Post. “You’ve got to be able to do some position stuff before you go out there on Sunday. You can’t go from light jogging to on the field Sunday.”

With Cotchery out, the Jets might sign wide receiver Patrick Turner from the practice squad.
