The New York Jets locked up their number one free agent priority today, signing WR Santonio Holmes to a 5 year contract worth $50 million and $24 million guaranteed.
Holmes reportedly left money on the table because “he loves the Jets and Mark Sanchez.”
He finished 2010 with 52 receptions for 746 yards and 6 touchdowns despite playing in only 12 games.
The Jets will now shift their focus toward cornerback, where they are reportedly wooing Nnamdi Asomugha while also in contact with Antonio Cromartie.
